Scarce RPPC of Small Gold Placer Operation - MONITOR in Action
Offered is this fine vintage real photo postcard showing a small hydralic mining operation in action, small monitor is directed at creek bank, note senders comments. Hand written quill ink writing on the back reads as follows: No. 1 / This is taken with Jack’s camera. On Old Glory – Showing part of cut. And Jack at nozzle. Writing on reverse reads:
"This is where we began to wash out in May and went down to end of twenty sluice boxes. Maybe it will give you some idea that we done some business while I was boss. Even if we only got $450.00."
Note: This would equate to about 28 ounces of gold at $16.00 per ounce, which is what it traded for in those days. This is a great shot, and I believe it is Alaska or the Yukon Territory.
Priced at $125.00

Art Deco - Unique 1920’s Original PENCIL View AMERICAN THEATER – BELLINGHAM, WA.
Offered in this Rare & Unique original Artist pencil rendering of the front view of the American Theater once located on Cornwall Ave., in Bellingham, Washington, now the old downtown J.C. Penny building is there now, next to the Bellingham National Bank building, which when looking at this view, would be the building, (which is still there) adjacent to the right. As you can see, whoever did this wonderful drawing was a profession in his or her field.
It is done on heavy cardstock and measures 22” x 30” there are some stains etc, but overall in is very nice and would make a wonderful framed addition to any Theater or artist pencil rendition collection. This theater was built in the early years of vaudeville and was one of many theaters in and around Bellingham, most have unfortunately been torn down, luckily, the Mt. Baker has been saved and wonderfully restored. The American Theater was not so lucky. However here is rare glimpse of what was once a proud and popular theater, and ready for your collection.
